This is an artist that I went to grad school with named Claire Stigliani (clairestigliani.com). Most artists nowadays have their own websites (usually their name.com) and each website must not only show each of the artists pertinent works, but it must also serve as an aesthetically pleasing place that is conceptually linked to the artist from a design standpoint. Her website is excellent in this regard. Usuing her own handwriting and tons of her on images, she has created a little place on the web that is more or less her world. While it's not perfect (the font she has used for her artist statement is too small and doesn't quite gel with her work) it nonetheless serves as a model (at least in my eyes) of what a good artist website should look like. Cheers!
